Its 4 step filtering system works like this:

1. The Prefilter catches the larger particles as the air is drawn into the rear grille.

2. In the ionizing section of the electronic cell, billions of the microscopic particles become electrically charged as they pass through a powerful electric field.

3. The Collector Plates immediately attracts these "charged" particles and holds onto them.

4. The 4th step is an activated Carbon Filter that removes most common odors and fumes as the "clean air" is circulated back into the room.
